Hej!
Är det någon som vet varför jag får margin på 20px i mobilen på min main meny när jag kör display: list-item.
Men om jag kollar på datorn så har jag ingen margin och allt ser bra ut.

Med några dagar tillgodo släpper vi nyheten om att vi på dagen efter årets DrupalCamp kör en kod-sprint med sikte inställt på Drupal 8. Fredric Bergstrom (bobodrone), Emil Stjerneman (bratanon) och Fabian Sörqvist (fabsor) håller i sprinten som pågår mellan 10:00 och 18:00.

Håller på att försöka fixa ett instagram flöde på min sida. Det jag vill göra att att bilder från dom jag följer ska komma upp på min sida. Men får inget att fungera. Det jag kör på nu är feed aggregator och lägger till http://ink361.com/redbull som en feed att den ska ta informationen där ifrån. Men dom nyaste sakerna kommer längst ner på listan och den vill inte uppdatera alla bilder och funkar allmänt dåligt.

Har någon ett bra tips på hur man kan få till ett bra instagram flöde till sin sida?

Per Dries's post about Drupal 8 release risk, this post outlines a plan jointly developed by the Drupal core maintainers (Dries, webchick, catch, and alexpott) for getting Twig into core safely. See that post for more background information.

What's up with Twig?

The Twig template engine was originally committed to Drupal 8 live on stage at BADCamp in November 2012, to wild fanfare. Since then, the team has been working on converting all templates and theme functions in Drupal core to use Twig. Thanks to valiant effort by numerous contributors, the PHPTemplate conversions currently stand at ~30% RTBC, and another ~45% at needs review. This is great progress!

Why aren’t the core committers committing?

The short answer is release risk. We are in the “clean up” phase of the Drupal 8 release cycle (http://drupal.org/core/release-cycle#clean-up-phase). Each commit we make should take us one step closer to a Drupal release. In effect, committing an individual Twig patch to core takes us one step further into uncharted territory. At the moment all of our templates are PHPTemplate and hence each conversion commit moves us further away from a release. We obviously can't ship with two theme systems, so unless 100% of templates are converted, we leave Drupal 8 in an unreleasable state.

Solution

We plan to merge all the PHPTemplate to Twig conversions into one patch. Once complete, we will commit this patch into the mainline 8.x branch. The patch will convert all the .tpl.php files to .twig and remove the functionality that allows Drupal 8 to run both theme engines at the same time. This means that Twig commits will not take the 8.x branch further away from a release, and it gives us an exit strategy if they are not complete by code freeze.

A meta issue has been created to track the merged patch.

The Twig team will:

• Finish converting all the templates.
• Provide benchmarking evidence on each issue that the conversion conforms to the acceptance criteria. If other patches are required to be applied in order to meet this requirements then these should added to both the conversion issue and the meta issue.

Core committers will:

• Review each individual patch and
  • Comment: "+1. Ready for [#1987510]"
  • Status: "closed (duplicate)"
  • Title: prepend '[READY] '
• Commit the merged patch once all templates have been converted and acceptance criteria have been met.
• If a Twig patch is isolated to the current Twig code in 8.x then the core committers will commit it immediately. For example: Allow and test for NULL and integer 0 values in Twig templates

Acceptance criteria

The following are necessary in order to perform the final merge of conversions into 8.x:

• 100% PHPTemplate to Twig conversions are completed
• 8.x-twig performance is comparable with 8.x PHPTemplate performance, bearing in mind the issues with D8 performance testing - see https://drupal.org/node/1888424#comment-7345926
• there are no critical Twig follow ups

Once the patch is committed further Twig work should continue on 8.x to:

• Convert theme functions to Twig
• Gain the security benefits on Twig
• Further performance enhancements made possible by moving to Twig
• Preprocess cleanup
• Removal of the entire process layer

Important: It is in everyone’s interest that the conversions are finished as soon as possible. In an ideal world, the merge will take place during Drupalcon Portland.

Rollback criteria

If by 17th June the acceptance criteria are not met, then (with regret) an issue will be created to remove Twig from Drupal 8.x. This gives enough to time to create and test the rollback patch before code freeze on 1st July.

Help wanted!

The Twig team has been doing a tremendous job, and we know the front-end community is very excited about this initiative. The time is definitely here to jump in and help the team push this initiaitve past the finish line! Particularly needed are patch reviews (see http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Bv4PY_ZEP4Q for a helpful screencast on how to do so!), since most issues have patches but can't be RTBCed by people who worked on them.

So grab an issue to review and/or drop by #drupal-twig on IRC if you'd like to help. It's a great way to learn about Drupal 8, meet awesome people, and vastly improve Drupal for front-end developers at once!

Sitter med en sajt där jag ska göra ett studie och yrkesvägledartest.

Tanken är att man dels ska göra val bland typer av arbetsområden. Man kommer då att visas ett antal jobb sorterat efter olika typer av arbeten. Man väljer sedan några olika typer av jobb och får förslag på hur man når dit (yrkesvägar).

Har löst detta genom att skapa en innehållstyp med 2 typer av taxonomier (arbetsområden och typer av arbeten) sedan ska jag väl lösa yrkesvägarna genom entity reference.

Problemet är att jag vill att elever ska kunna göra detta i steg. Hur gör man bäst detta i flera nivåer?

Min tanke är att man löser detta med 2 sorters exposed filters och att man döljer dessa i nivåer med javascript.

Finns det något bättre sätt? Någon som rekommenderar en modul?

Hur får man en view att visas med lika stor kolumnbredd oavsett hur många kolumner som har innehåll?

Jag har en view med 4st kolumner, men just nu bara innehåll i två av dessa.
Kolumn 1 får en bredd på ca 70% och kolumn 2 30%. Men hag skulle vilja att samtliga fick 25% trots att det inte är något innehåll i kolumn 3 & 4

Jag har försökt med följande css men får det inte att fungera tillfredställande.

Håller på att försöka bygga ett par sidor med mobilvänliga teman (skeleton & zircon)
Båda dessa teman är zoombara på deras demositer men inte när man laddar ner temat och installerar från drupal.com. Vilket är lite märkligt.

Vad är brukligt att sträva efter? En sida som är zoombar i mobila enheter eller en sida som är statisk gällande zoom.

Har provat lite olika mha viewport men vilket är egentligen "best practices"

Adam Evertsson och jag hade en diskussion om communityn i Göteborg över en lunch idag. Blev en hel del intressant avhandlat. Framförallt hur vi kan få lite mer lokal aktivitet såsom träffar och annat kul. Men även saker som hur planera och genomföra framtida DrupalCamp Göteborg.

Första steget ser du här, nämligen skapandet av en Göteborg-grupp här på g.d.o. Det ger oss ett naturligt hem inom den stora Drupal-communityn.

Här kan vi diskutera allt rörande Drupal's framfart i Göteborg med omnejd. Planera olika träffar, föreläsningar, code sprints och allt annat kul.

Gruppen är givetvis öppen för alla oavsett om du har Drupal som yrke, sitter och pular med det hemma på kammaren eller bara är nyfiken att veta mer.

Som krydda på verket så har vi DrupalCamp Göteborg den 25:e maj (Jupp nära nu) och där finns lämpligt nog en session och en BoF om just Drupal i Göteborg där vi kan träffas och pratas vidare om detta:

Jag vill visa vilken innehållstyp ett visst innehåll hör till, och tänkte ha det som ett fält i Display Suite. Har letat på nätet, men hittade bara lösningar som inte fungerade samt följande som visar det maskinläsbara namnet. Men jag vill visa det riktiga namnet – exempelvis "Insändare", inte "insandare". Så hur åstadkommer jag det?

Jag bygger upp en jobbannons hemsida med drupal 7.
Det finns två innehållstyper, "Jobb" och "Jobbansökan". Jag använder modulen Node reference för att knyta jobbansökan till jobb.
Jag har två roller, "recruiter" och "applicant", där recruiter skapar jobb och applicant ansöker.

Problemet jag har är att jag inte riktigt vet hur jag kan lista alla ansökningar för en "recruiter" för alla jobb som den person har lagt upp. Jag har testat lite med views men vet inte hur jag löser detta.

Någon som förstod min fråga och kan hjälpa till? :)

Scott Reynen has done some fun things in the Drupal community. Some notable examples:

• Helped to organize several Drupalcamps in Colorado (which will be June 29th/30 in 2013)
• Presents on various topics at Drupalcamps
• Helps as one of the 3 site maintainers for groups.drupal.org
• Is an active Project Application queue reviewer heavily interested in new-contributor-onboarding and project quality
• Takes care of abandoned projects and ownership requests in the Webmasters queue
• And does a pretty darn good job as the maintainer for modules like @font-your-face.

How did you get involved with Drupal?

About 4 years ago, I took a job as a developer with Aten Design Group, where we do mostly Drupal projects. At the time, I was pretty skeptical of content management systems, after frustrating experiences with both WordPress and Joomla. But I quickly grew to appreciate Drupal’s modular architecture.

What do you do with Drupal these days?

Most of my Drupal time is spent building websites for clients. I’m fortunate to be able to work on projects I really care about, like the International Center for Transitional Justice, the National Center for Women & Information Technology, and the United Nations Development Programme. Apart from client work, I use Drupal as a platform to explore new ideas. With a wide variety of code and a huge active community, Drupal serves as a great incubator.

You’re involved with the Drupal community locally and internationally - can you describe some of the things you do and why you like them?

I co-maintain Drupal Groups (groups.drupal.org), deal with abandoned projects on Drupal.org, do some work on project review applications, help organize the local Denver Drupal meetup, actively mentor a few people, and contribute some modules. I think I like all of this because I feel like I’m actively building the future, either through directly improving the web, or by enabling other people to improve the web.

What got you started in the project application review process?

I didn’t go through the application review process to get my own Git (previously CVS) access, and didn’t realize the process existed for a long time. So I think some feeling of debt played a part in my getting involved. But I also believe the future of Drupal depends on people who aren’t yet involved, and the application process, if not handled well, can very easily be a point where we turn away this next generation of contributors.

What are some of your favorite moments from that process?

It’s always nice to get thanks from new contributors for my feedback, or to discover a cool new module before it even has a release. But I think my favorite moment was when klausi arrived. Before that, I felt like I had to stay actively involved or the whole process might fall apart. When klausi started doing a superhuman number of reviews, I could comfortably step away from the queue for a short (or even long) period of time and avoid both catastrophe and burnout.

Are there any cool projects you’ve learned about through that process?

Commerce Registration is, I think, a great example of why the review process is important to the wider community. After some quick minor bug fixes in the review process, that project was approved and is now part of the Conference Organizing Distribution, used in every DrupalCon site. And the maintainer has gone on to contribute several other modules, a few to Drupal Commons that will be part of the next version of the Drupal Groups site. A more frustrating project review could have easily meant the Drupal community losing all of this.

What changes do you hope will come in the project review process?

Mostly I think we just need more people with the right mindset. Right now, the “needs review” backlog is gradually disappearing, largely thanks to a lot of new reviewers. I think we just need to keep more of these reviewers involved and make sure they know, as jthorson recently wrote, “the role of reviewers in this process is that of a 'mentor', not 'traffic cop'”.

What is your favorite part about the Drupal community?

It’s rare to hear someone say “I don’t care” in the Drupal community. There’s plenty of work that goes off the rails on passionate debate over what color to paint the bike shed, and that can grow tedious. But our bike sheds are the best-painted on the web (12 coats!), because people really care. I like that.

Tell us a little about your background or things that interest you outside Drupal?

When I was young, I hit myself in the forehead with a boomerang. I wasn’t entirely unfamiliar with the concept, but I’d never had one actually come back. This one did, just as I was turning to see where it had landed. Stitches weren't great back then, so I still have a scar. I still have problems with tools doing what I say rather than what I expect.
